Business expenses depend on the type of business you have or are about to have. These expenses are usually deductible if the money makes a profit. There are two types of expenses ordinary and necessary, ordinary are the common and most expected in your business, and necessary are the helpful and appropriate expenses. The most important thing to remember is that your personal expense and your business expense should really be kept separate. Business expenses could be rent, payroll, marketing, utilities, and maintenance. The most important business expense is of course start up, then there’s your operating cost which is your day to day cost of running the business without operating costs your business would fail. Then there are capital expenses, capital expenses are the cost of buying assets which are needed because it includes patents, machinery, furniture, vehicles and equipment. Then there are inventory costs, because well without inventory, the business wouldn’t run that smoothly. Again inventory depends on what type of business you have, say you own e an accountant that does it all for you, a bakery you would need flour, sugar and eggs to have the bakery run smoothly, so if your inventory was stocked and ready to go at all time things would go a lot better. Organizational skills are good to have when keeping your business expense in order or to have an accountant come in and do it for you, it really depends on how good at math and all that stuff you are, and if you can afford the accountant. Business expenses are pretty easy to figure out once you get the hang of and people should get discouraged with it, even the big companies had some struggles but they got through it and look at where they are today. Don’t let your business go down the drain because you spent too much on the wrong things.
